Lyssie nodded.
"Oh yes, it was alot of fun growing up there.... for a time at least." she said with a small smile. Agitated with hair, she pulled her hair back with a ribbon.
"I can't shoot a bow and arrow worth my life, but I'm an expert at swordsmanship." she said truthfully.

Jarren nodded, listening to Lyssie speak, letting what she was saying to him sink in, or at least he tried to. "I've taught myself some with the sword." he said. Jarren had been attempting to prepare himself for the time he'd be able to deal with the Ra'zac, so he made himself learn many things.

Lyssie nodded.
"Well, when your a seven year old girl left all alone in the spine with two younger siblings to look after by yourself, you've got to make a living somehow." she said truthfully, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
"Food and protection, mainly, are what I taught myself for, but now I just love to fight."

Jarren's lips parted in a very small smile, though most wouldn't notice it. Jarren's father had taught him that a hunter was to use his skills, but use them only for what he needed. If he caught an animal, he would make use of all of it's gifts. He knew that the ability to get food and protect yourself were very good, but he needed the ability to avenge his family, which was why he had trained with the sword. "I have no love of fighting, I train so that when the time comes I am ready." he said giving her no explanation.

Lyssie shrugged.
"I don't fight for fun, but I mean, I love to practice. I love to be ready and expect the unexpected, and be able to defeat even the toughest things thrown at me." she said truthfully, smiling briefly.
"I fight to live. No more. No less."

Jarren nodded, they were so different from one another. This woman, though it seemed, had a bad past, was not seeking vengeance as he was. He trained so that he could fight for his vengeance, she learned to fight so that she could pretecte herself and her family. Jarren looked at Lyssie "My fight is for a much different reason." he said.

Lyssie nodded.
"Well if all of our fights were the same, we wouldn't be any where except bored to tears." she said truthfully.
"But either way, whether the fights are for different reasons or not, they are equal if they are against the same enemies." she added, tucking her hair behind her ear.

Jarren shook her head "I'm not sure about that." he said gruffly. "I think that it is time for me to get back to my hut." he said. Jarren put a bit more money down on the bar, as a tip, and stood from his stool. He looked at Lyssie again, his eyes lingering on her lips, but he shook his head. Jarren raised his hood, "I would not object to seeing you again." he added.

Lyssie blinked, a look of calm and serene wisdom behind her chocolate brown eyes, and inclined her head respectfully. She did believe that each had a right to be entitled to their own opinion, though it was the lowest and weakest of all 7 parts of argument she knew. A weak, wan smile flickered across her face.

"Perhaps chance will allow it one day, Jarren." she said, finishing off her last glass of ale and also putting her money on the counter. Standing, she once more pulled up her dark purple hood over her hair, only her pale face visible.
"I myself must go check on my younger siblings. Never know what trouble they're getting theirselves into." she said with a shake of the head.
"Goodbye for now, Jarren."

Jarren nodded to Lyssie and wathched as she left, not uttering a word to her. He stood there looking at the door for a few moments lost in thought. He felt an odd sensation when looking at the woman, one he had not felt in over ten years and it frightened him. Jarren sighed and walked towards the door, his thoughts all taken up by this woman.
